I Lost 65 lbs. Without Stepping Foot in a Gym

No. I wasn’t sick, however I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. In 2017, I topped out at 209 pounds. Never in a million years did I imagine myself over two hundred pounds without being pregnant. Truth be told, I should have never been over two hundred pounds even while pregnant. Here I was, age forty-nine and a half and I never even lost the baby weight. In fact, I gained more. Can you relate? If you’re a guy, probably not, however seventy-five percent of U.S. men are obese, about sixty percent of women are obese and sadly, even thirty-five percent of children are fighting obesity.

For me, getting my health under control was not only about losing weight, but wanting to feel vibrant and alive. I wanted to live pain free. You see, I was always battling fibromyalgia since my oldest was born way back in 1996. In my late thirties, a orthopedic surgeon diagnosed me with osteoarthritis. I knew I was doomed and looking at knee replacements in my fifties or sixties.

Was this my destiny? Age gracefully has always been the phrase I heard. How can I age gracefully when I was going to bear multiple surgeries and continue to fight the fibromyalgia pain?

It turns out, I can age gracefully. I can live vibrantly not being overweight. And, I can live pain free. My doctors never told me these things. I found out on my own. How?
