How’s 2021 Going to Turn Out for You?

Well, here we go. At least it’s going, right? Here it is January 15, 2021 and like many of you, a lot is weighing on my mind. “Will I get that job back? (No) Is a new position going to fall into my lap? (Probably not) Is starting a business a viable option for me? (I hope so!) Is everyone in my family going to stay healthy? (All is well, so far)”

That’s a lot of questions and I am sure there are many more. Not only did I lose my job, I lost my career due to COVID. Oh, well! Let’s move on, shall we? It’s always been my motto.

So where did 2020 leave me and where am I going in 2021? First, I am still collecting the tiny amount of unemployment compensation offered by my state and the federal government. It’s peanuts compared to what I was bringing home on a weekly basis, but I am grateful for any amount of money I can get these days.

Money making activities is the key to moving on. Updating my social media channels with my daily activities hasn’t proven to result in any monetary compensation until yesterday when I launched my first e-cookbook. It’s a cookbook I have been working on since June 2020. I have been building a personal brand for almost two years, now, not knowing exactly what for or how it was going to pan out.
